The broker
Why I went independent
An agent who works for one company can only sell you that company's policy, at that company's price, whether or not it is the right fit. I did not want to sit across from a family and pretend that one option was the whole market. So I built Yanza Brokerage Group LLC as an independent brokerage: I hold the license, I work with multiple companies, and the policy you end up with is the one that fits you.
I believe insurance should be explained, not sold. A lot of people on Long Island are overpaying in one place and underinsured in another, and nobody has ever walked them through why. When you sit with me, you leave knowing what your deductible is, what no-fault actually pays, why your home policy excludes flood, and what happens to the house if one income stops. In the language you think in.
I work in Spanish and English because Long Island's Latino families and the tradespeople who build their businesses here deserve a broker who does not need a translator. Salvadoran, Ecuadorian, Dominican, Mexican, Colombian, Puerto Rican households, and the trades they run: roofing, landscaping, cleaning, restaurants, auto shops. Insurance is complicated enough in your first language. It should not be harder in your second.
How I work is simple. You tell me what you have and what worries you. I shop the companies I work with and bring back options with the differences spelled out. You choose. Then I put your renewal date on my calendar, because the price you got this year is not a promise about next year, and someone should be watching.
