Queens, NY
Insurance for Queens, handled from Long Island without the trip.
I'm Anthony, a licensed broker for all of New York State. My office is in Ronkonkoma, but a good part of my work is in Queens: Jamaica, Jackson Heights, Corona, Elmhurst, Flushing and the Rockaways, all by text, WhatsApp and phone. I compare the companies I work with and tell you plainly what each option covers.

Queens auto rates are among the highest in New York, and they change from ZIP to ZIP. An address off Jamaica Avenue is rated differently than one in Flushing or Far Rockaway, and each company draws its own map. That is the whole argument for an independent broker here: one company's bad territory is another company's fair one, and the only way to find out is to quote all of them. Send me your address, your license and what you drive, and I'll do exactly that.
Housing in Queens is its own world. Two-family homes in Jamaica, Corona and Elmhurst, often with a basement apartment that may or may not be legal, co-ops and condos in Flushing, Forest Hills and Rego Park, and bungalows and beach blocks in Far Rockaway where flood is the first question. Each needs a different policy: an HO-6 for a co-op or condo, a two-family homeowner's form if you live in one unit, a landlord policy if you don't, and a separate flood policy near the water. I'll tell you which before I quote anything.
Queens also works for a living. Bodegas and restaurants on Roosevelt Avenue, contractors who load the van in Jamaica and take the Van Wyck to jobs in Nassau, livery and rideshare drivers everywhere. One thing to know up front: if you drive for TLC, for-hire or rideshare, a personal auto policy will not cover you. That needs a commercial auto policy, and I can point you to the right place for it. Everything else, from the storefront to the work van, I write directly.
Coverage
What I insure in Queens
Each line below opens its own page. Pick the one that fits your situation, or just text me and I will sort it out with you.
Car insurance in Queens
Jamaica, Corona, Jackson Heights, Flushing, Far Rockaway: I quote them all, full coverage and liability-only, new and Green Light licenses, drivers with tickets or a lapse, and the FS-20 you need for the DMV. If you garage the car in a different ZIP than your mailing address, tell me; it changes the quote and it has to be accurate. TLC and for-hire vehicles need commercial auto, which I can point you toward.
Home insurance for two-family houses and more
Attached and detached two-family homes in Jamaica, Elmhurst and Corona, single-family homes in Bayside and Queens Village, and anything with a legal rental unit. I compare HO-3 and HO-5 forms for owner-occupied homes and the right form for a two-family you live in. If there is a basement apartment, tell me whether it is legal; it decides which companies will quote.
Co-op and condo insurance (HO-6)
Flushing, Forest Hills, Rego Park, Kew Gardens and the high-rises along Queens Boulevard. Your building's master policy covers the structure; an HO-6 covers your unit's interior, your belongings, your liability and loss assessment if the board passes a cost on to shareholders. Many co-op boards now require proof before closing.
Renters insurance in Queens
Apartments in Jackson Heights and Elmhurst, rooms in Corona, basement units in Jamaica. An HO-4 covers what you own and your liability, and it costs little next to what it replaces. If your landlord requires it in the lease, I can have the certificate to you the day the policy starts.
Business insurance for Queens storefronts
Bodegas, restaurants, bakeries, barbershops and money-transfer shops on Roosevelt Avenue, Jamaica Avenue, Junction Boulevard and Main Street in Flushing. General liability, property, liquor liability where it applies, and workers' compensation with DBL and Paid Family Leave once you have staff. I match the certificate to what your landlord's lease requires.
Contractors based in Queens
Painters, remodelers, tile setters, roofers and landscapers who run the Van Wyck, the Grand Central and the LIE to jobs across the city and Long Island. General liability written for New York's Labor Law 240/241, commercial auto for the van, tools coverage and workers' comp. If a general contractor is asking for a certificate with additional insured wording, send it to me and I'll match it.

Questions
Questions people text me
Not on a personal auto policy, and no honest broker should try. TLC and for-hire vehicles need commercial auto coverage written for that use, through specialists who do only that. I can point you to the right place, and I can still handle your home, renters, life or business coverage.
